    '42' ... and more.

This was the first of the Bailey books to appear before the public and, despite its grand title, is introductory and the easiest to understand. It is but a chapter in a total work - covering twenty four volumes of teaching - undertaken by Mrs Bailey over a period of thirty years. The Bailey books teach to all upon the Path of Return, and the casual 'seeker after truth' will benefit enormously, provided he is willing to accept the teaching as a working hypothesis to be submitted to his inner scrutiny for later verification - or otherwise. In this volume we learn of the existence of the Spiritual Hierarchy of the planet, and of the Masters of the Wisdom who are, in effect, the executive officers of the Earth, tasked with bringing to fruition the plans of God. The initiation process, which is a ceremony carried out in the minds of all who have done the necessary preparation, is described at length. For those still looking for 'that which they seek', it is unlikely that higher and more comprehensive teaching of this kind has been made available to the general public. Assimilation of the total work will take the dedication of a lifetime. Those to whom is entrusted the education of our young people, might like to consider placing this title in the library of the school or college over which they have influence or control, so that the young may have access to another perspective on truth which they can, of course, accept or reject at will. Five stars does not do justice to a work of this kind - nor, for that matter - five hundred. Take a deep breath ... this is the good stuff.
