    The Insiders

When I saw that The Insiders was recommended by the author of Gossip Girl I had to read it, but honestly it didn't appeal to me as much as other books I have read. Even though the story does flow and the characters, such as Jonathan, Patch, Arno, David, and Mickey, are lively they all seem to be almost he same character. They all fall in love, they all have problems, and all their lives spin out of control at the same time. It also seems so ironic that Kelli can destroy all of their lives at the same time. The settings and ''mini-scenes'' are interesting though. I love the fact that they are in New York and they live the night life. I also think it's most enjoyable to imagine boys thinking the way they do in the novel and what they will do for a girl. But then again at first it was intriguing, the way a male thinks, and then it was too repetitive for my taste. The same thing happened to all the boys; more or less. So to me the novel was alright. The plot was enjoyable and the writing style was extremely interesting, but it just was not as good as I thought it would be when I picked it up. But if I were to recommend this to somebody I would recommend it to a teenage girl, because I have to admit it's interesting. The angle, from a boy's perspective, is very surprising being a girl. I feel like I know more how a boy thinks and feel. Most teenage girls could probably really get into this novel.
