    Waiting for the Excitment

Because I enjoy reading and always hopeful for a climax in a book I continued reading 'Interruption of Everything'. Personally, it took too long to get to the point. As soon as I spotted some excitment (Marilyn getting pregnant) I was again stuck in this tunnel of boredom. All in all it was a good read if you are patient. The storyline turned out to be a decent one, but just not outstanding.

    Disappointed

I started reading the book last Friday evening - completed yesterday and was very disappointed with the ending. Was the author in a rush to meet her deadline? I will read all the review from now on before purchasing one of her novel.

I expected more from Terri McMillan

I am an avid reader and have read all the novels by Terri McMillan. I thought overall this was just a lukewarm novel. I regret that I bought it on the first day it was available. If you haven't purchased the book yet, you might want to wait and check it out of the library or borrow a copy from a friend. There are some interesting characters in this story but there are just as many loose ends and unanswered questions. (Does that mean there will be a sequel? Is the reader to create imaginary alternate endings?) The book teases the reader with great sub-plots about characters that are never fully developed (such as Gordon) but then just leaves you wondering what happened. There is no question that Terri McMillan is a talented writer. Perhaps the personal issues that recently have become so publicized impacted her writing this time. I hope her future books incorporate more realistic writing and are as intriguing as many of her earlier novels. Unfortunately, The Interruption of Everything just isn't the best Terri McMillan could have given her fans.

    Interruption of Everything

Did Terry write this book? This is not a typical McMillian book. First it was hard for me to get into. Her characters are not well rounded like usual and she left so much uanswered. Is this a trilogy and someone forget to let me know? She goes on about Gordon but then thats it- Did I miss a chapter or I could have fell asleep. I think she was mad when she started this because everyone has the same angry personality

    Interruption of Everything

I love Terry McMillian as writer. I've read everything with her name on it but this book while it was good did not grab me like other books she has written. It seemed like she was angry when she wrote. good read but not great like we know her to be

    It was ok....

I bought this book and read it in like 2.5 days. It was interesting enough to keep me reading, but that great to where I didn't want to put it down. I am really not that pleased with this one. Maybe i was hoping for more. Marilyn seemed like she had not real feeling to her, some of the situations that she was in, you would think that she would haul off and snap or something. I dunno. Maybe it's because I am only 22, but a good read should be a good read, reguardless of age (I thought 'A Day Late and a Dollar Short' was really good...I just don't know). When it ended I said 'Thats It?'
