5 STARS and MORE!
This was my most favorite book of the series! Dallas and Amy were mesmerizing. Cindy Gerard really brought Dallas and Amy to life. I loved the love scenes! They were done with a tenderness and vulnerability that played perfectly with Amy's history. Dallas was everything you'd want in a hero. The action was gripping, the drama was thrilling and Gabe and Jenna were even greater in this book (if that's possible).I know why Cindy Gerard kept this book till the end of the series...you always save the best for last.

Fantastic
Into the dark was a wonderful conclusion to this series. Likeable characters, well written....drama, romance, humor...what more could you ask for? Cindy Gerard sure knows how to draw the reader in. This is without a doubt one of the best series I've ever read. I hate to see it end. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes this genre of books...To the edge, To the limit, To the brink, Over the line, Under the wire and Into the dark.

Fantastic romantic suspense
Terrorists kidnapped Amy Walker, but made no demands for her release. Instead they raped and tortured the American. Several E.D.E.N operatives including Dallas Garrett rescue Amy. Subsequently she vanished, but Dallas knows first hand that out of sight means inside his mind as he has not forgotten her (see INTO THE DARK).---------------- Six months since the rescue and he still thinks of her wishing they met under nicer circumstances. Amy has gone into hiding because she knows the abduction was personal her grandfather, a former Nazi medical scientist who experimented on his offspring (Amy¿s locked away mother), arranged for her kidnapping and torture. She fears she will never be safe so she turns to her hero whom she was attracted to when he saved her as her own blood is coming to spill her blood.------------ Fans of the Bodyguard series have been waiting since Dec 2005 for the return of Amy and Dallas the wait was worth it as Cindy Gerard provides a great romantic suspense thriller. The story line is non stop action (it is a Bodyguard tale), but insures that former teacher Amy and her hero seem real and their relationship genuine. In many ways her grandfather steals the show from mostly Amy¿s impressions as an evil genius who goes OVER THE LINE of morality without a second thought even sending family TO THE BRINK of insanity.------------- Harriet Klausner

Excellent romantic suspense!
A woman seemingly made of the finest tempered steel and an intensely strong man with a soft spot only for her hit the road running in search of answers to secrets about her past, and find much, much more during the journey, in Cindy Gerard¿s INTO THE DARK.*****When Amy Walker is forced off the road by a huge SUV on her way home from work, adrenaline and sheer terror take over and she finds herself fighting for her life. When she takes the life of the assassin chasing her, she knows that a situation this serious will require the assistance of the man who rescued her from terrorist kidnappers several months prior, regardless of the fact that she doesn¿t want to involve him. After spending a passionate night with Dallas, Amy has second thoughts and tries to sneak out so as to not get him tied up in her troubles. When that fails and he¿s determined to help her, she tells him an incredible, almost unbelievable, story about her grandfather and the atrocious acts he has committed against Amy and her mother. Amy is determined to save her reporter friend Jenna, who is missing in Argentina, while settling the score with her grandfather, despite the heavy risk to their very lives.******There wasn¿t anything that Dallas Garrett wouldn¿t do for Amy Walker he never stopped thinking of her after his team rescued her months before. She immediately and inexplicably disappeared after her rescue. When Amy shows up at his door during an icy rainstorm and collapses in his arms, it is obvious that danger has once again found her. Dallas is battling his own personal demons, but can¿t refuse Amy anything. He thinks the story about her grandfather is pretty incredible, but so is the evidence that she has against him. Dallas agrees to help Amy find Jenna and shortly after they set out, he realizes that the risk and intrigue have only just begun. He only hopes that he can keep them alive long enough to convince Amy of how much he loves her.*****Amy Walker has filled the minds of readers and Dallas Garrett alike, since she first appeared in INTO THE BRINK, earlier in this series. Readers have been waiting for her story and it was well worth the wait. Amy and Dallas are both deeply damaged and the strengths that they bring out in each other may be their only saving grace. Cindy Gerard has written a passionately sensual book the love scenes in INTO THE DARK aren¿t simply about sex. They are beautifully written and emotionally fulfilling. Some of the characters from previous books in this series make appearances and it is fun to catch up with them. A new, somewhat dark character plays a role that will leave readers wondering what, if anything, might be in store for him in the future. We can only hope!

A brilliant conclusion to Cindy Gerard's The Bodyguards series!
¿Cindy Gerard has outdone herself penning a phenomenal conclusion with INTO THE DARK, Book #6 in her The Bodyguards series for St. Martin¿s 'June 2007'. INTO THE DARK sheds light on what has happened to terrorist hostage, Amy Walker, who first appeared in TO THE BRINK '1/06' after being rescued in the jungle by former Force Recon Marine turned bodyguard, Dallas Garrett, and then disappeared upon their return to the U.S. Six months later Dallas, who runs E.D.E.N., Inc. protection agency with his siblings, is ready to leave for a trip to look for Amy when she shows up and collapses on his West Palm Beach doorstep. Dallas is sure Amy¿s in trouble when she mumbles about not wanting to be found. After she rests and they make love, Amy tries to sneak out on Dallas again because she doesn¿t want to put him in danger. But Dallas convinces Amy to confide in him and she divulges an incredible story about her German physician grandfather being in the SS and doing mind-control work for the Nazi¿s during and after World War II with her mother as one of his test subjects. Amy has been working in a mental hospital in New York where her mother is a patient while doing research to locate her grandfather and the secret organization that experiments on people against their wills. When someone tries to kill her after leaving work one night, Amy knows she¿s in terrible danger. Dallas has his own demons dealing with PTSD from his military missions. Amy¿s research trail, thanks to a journalist¿s article, leads her and Dallas to Argentina. With the help of a mysterious mercenary, who saves their lives, they¿re determined to locate and stop this organization from their evil work. Here is everything a reader could ask for in a great romantic suspense: beloved characters, riveting suspense, thrilling adventure and pulse-pounding passion! INTO THE DARK is utterly brilliant and firmly cements Cindy Gerard as a key author in the romantic suspense genre!
