I am just going to say it.  I loved this book.  The whole idea of "What if your first love really was your one and only, but life got in the way?" made this book rise above so much of the NA out there now.  Charley was heart broken and moved on the best she could after tragedy struck one night and she lost more than just her first love.  Jake was just as heartbroken, but carried more then heart break with them all those years.  When they finally reconnect while studying abroad in Scotland, emotions run high, sparks fly, and old wounds are reopened and explored.  There is something about the way that Samantha writes that just sucks you in and does not let you go even after you have read the last page.  Set in the backdrop of Scotland and filled with wonderful secondary characters, this book stands really stands out in the crowd.

This is book one, so not all the loose ends are tied up in a pretty bow.  In fact, there is much left open.  That being said this was not a cliffhanger and while I really want to know what comes next and hope the series ends with an amazing HEA of all HEAs, I am ok with where it ended.  There is a bonus scene from Jake's point of view at the end that really adds a ton to the book. It is amazing how seeing a little glimpse of what one character thought much earlier in the book really adds depth to the story.  I am so glad it was included.

Into the deep is yet another half book, which isn't mentioned anywhere. The writing is bad and childish, and the flashbacks to high school are too much so that throughout I thought I was reading a book for teenagers. The spelling keeps jumping back and forth between American, British English and spelling mistakes. I wish someone had mentioned that this is yet another one of those books with part 1 out of I don't know how many. Please stop publishing chapter books, or at least be honest about it.

Thank you to the reviewer that warned this is a cliffhanger. No thanks to the author for not revealing this. I will not buy this book. Loved her first book. It was a COMPLETE book.

Half book so right off the bat it gets an F. In addition, it was EXTREMELY juvenile. I didn't like jake at all as with most love stories a reader tends to cheer for the hero but no he was a tool. I don't understand what was so special about him, the author failed to reel me in. There was no connection between Charley and jake or at least the author did not do a good job at establishing their 'connection.' I wish I could get a refund I skipped through most of this I will most assuredly not return for the sequel.

    Horrible

This is only one part of a whole book. I didn't realize that until I got to the last page and it just broke off with no resolution, nothing. I'm so annoyed it didn't say anywhere and I can't get a money0 back. The plot was slow and boring. The characters were not likeable. The heroine has no backbone. She kept gushing about a guy who had betrayed and lied to her and who now had a girlfriend. I was annoyed with all the British terminology coming from people who were supposed to be American. My teen daughter can write better English than the author with all those spelling and grammar issues. This is the last book I'll ever read by this author.

If you want to read this book, read this.

This book has very detailed sex scenes in it. Just a warning, for those who are wondering.

    Don't buy....chapter book!!

Thank you to all the reviews in warning about this being book 1 of we don't know how many. I will not buy it just because of that. I am so tired of these books. By the time you have finished all of them, you have spent way too much money. And the flow of the book is thrown off. So tired of the chapter books.

I would give this book 1/2 star if possible. It should be classified as a poorly written teen book. No real story except hashing out a teen romance. The few interestlng parts of this half story were rushed through and played down..very disappointing. I am truly sorry I wasted my time.
