    A nice and focused soundtrack

I haven't read or seen Into the Wild yet, but I get the distinct impression that it is a work confronting isolation, the ills of society, and the bravery to confront the unknown, at least partially. That said, no one is better suited to accompany, or clarify, these motifs than Vedder. It is a bit "old hat" at points, but given that Vedder's main focus of late has been politically charged--an understatement, I know--his turn inward--although inspired by someone else--is refreshing. There is a deep soul here, and I can't help but feel that Vedder found something akin to himself in the subject matter of the film. Even the songs, many of which are short to the point of feeling incomplete, speak to the brevity of a tumultuous life. The impression of the record is strong, although the album's length-a scant 30 minutes-may cause that impression to quickly fade. Yet, as all of us PJ fans know, if there's one guy that can create 30 minutes of music that his fans will grovel over for years, it's Eddie Vedder.

    Beloved soundtrack

There are few soundtracks out there that fit a film so well as Eddie Vedder's soundtrack for Into the Wild. It's a true masterpiece that evokes all the emotions and feelings that circulate through the film - the yearning, the wanderlust, nature, and freedom. I could listen to this soundtrack over and over again and never get sick of it. That's the sign of a true work of art. Thank you Eddie Vedder.

Into the wild was a good book

I read the book into the wild and thought it was a overall good book. the reason why i feal this way is the overall fact that it was based on a true story of a kid who wanted to explore the wildlife in alaska. this book depicts Chris McCandless's life of how he hitched hiked across america working in small towns and finally making it to the alaska territory and ends up dying from an injury that would have been unsubstantial if he woudlve been more prepaired.

Best thing Eddie Vedder has done in years, especially if you know and appreciate Chris McCandless's story.

    See the Flick

I was not familiar with Eddie until I saw the movie, which is spectacular. I knew once I heard this music I would be buying this soundtrack.

    amazing

No matter what Eddie does, it seems like he can do no wrong. Sean Penn who directed Into The Wild, asked Eddie to do some songs for the movie, and was just in aw over those that he asked him to do the whole soundtrack. Every song is vintage Eddie. There arnt any rock out songs, but there also are not supose to be. He is not only the greatest singer/songwriter of the 90s and 2000s, he is one of the top 5 of all time. If you are a fan of great music get this cd because as usual, Vedder does not disapoint.
