This book has literally changed my life! As someone who has and continues to struggle with an eating disorder, I was never taught some of the basic concepts with food. This book can reteach you the misconceptions almost every American has about food. We live in a culture that is the opposite of Intuitive. I would recommend that EVERYONE read this book, but only a chapter at a time. Let it sink in, and then move to the next.

    Good but repetitive

I really liked the idea of intuitive eating and the section on children is fabulous. But I felt like i was reading the same things over and over. The book could have been half the length. Again, the information and premise is excellent.

    Wonderful Book

Great book. If you are a chronic dieter and want to get off the diet roller coaster and always looking for the next diet to try, this is the book for you.
This book is not a diet plan but goes through the process of how to stop dieting. The examples and stories about people in the book are real and makes you realize you are not the only person who struggles with constant diet thoughts. Talks also about self-esteem and why this is tied to losing weight for some of us. Definitely worth the money and time to read.

    Excellent Buy -- Must Read!

I have always struggled with my relationship with food, which is intensitfied by society's constant "good" food/"bad" food labeling. By reading this book and practicing the fundamentals of intuitive eating, I am changing my relationship with food for the better! It is such an empowering book. Food is not the enemy; there is no morality in food. Eating should be a pleasurable experience and after reading this book, I am finally experiencing joy in eating without guilt.
