    Invincible? Incredible, fantastic, spectacular!

Fantastic first instalment of the teenage superhero epic.
Writer Robert Kirkman and artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley serve up one of the most enjoyable comic romps in years.
Bill Crabtree's vivid colours add to the incredible Invincible vibe.
This is great comic reading for both new and old fans.
The team has a lot of fun with familiar comic situations and characters.
The first volume sets the scene for what has become one of comics recent success stories. The ongoing series is definitely worth picking up.
Makes me wonder where the blockbuster movie version is.
My only caution about this book is that once you start you'll want to finish the whole volume.
    Highly recommended.

    Old-School Fun

For a company that got its start in the Dark Age of comics, Image's best series is all about Silver Age sensibilities. "Invincible" is a love letter to simpler times when comics were FUN, pure and simple. The writing is clever and sly, aware of and reveling in the genre's cliches. The colorful art pops right off the page, finding the balance between a cartoon style and graphic intensity. A must read for any superhero buff.

    A reviewer

Normaly I spend my time reading Sophisticated and adult graphic novels, but this one really managed to surprise me, and it will surprise you too. Don't let the bright colors and the cliche caped heroes fool you, there is a moutain of talent in this book. Kirkman manages to create characters with just enough depth to get you hooked and then pull the carpet out from under you. His pacing is perfect and he lets the images speak for themselves when they need to. Above all other aspects in this book Kirman manages to really make his characters human, and thats what counts.
