Loved this book! Well written, applies to current events; a great view into a lifestyle, region, and time I didn't know much about.

It was so full of details that made the time and place come to life. Had a hard time putting it down because it was so full of action and I wanted to find out what happened next. I wouldn't call it a romance, but it does have a couple sweet love stories. The relationships between the characters is what makes this book a must read.

    Should be a movie

I love the overview of real life in the 16th century. The European caste system and the Ottoman political structure are also touched on. When the book ends you will ask yourself, which side are you on.

    Should be a movie.

This book touches on day to day life in the 16th century. European and Ottomann politics are involved. As the book ends readers will question religous ethics and sibling bonds. The book was hard to put down, and sad to finish.
