    It Happened One Night

This was a new to me author, first of all. . . and I really liked it. For those that like the friends to lovers storyline, this is for you. But it's more than that. We see Lana with her sister Karin, both whose lives they imagined one way but turned out in another. There is also the changing relationship between them and their absent father. For all these people, I think I could say that it's a journey of life changes that help them see that what they might not have expected or wanted their lives to be, it's okay. And it's a great read to follow that journey too. :)

Lisa Dale - It Happened One Night

I liked this book. Hero and Heroine cannot admit they love each other. They have loved each other for many years, have maintained a close friendship. You must read to book to find out why they are having this problem at expressing their feelings.

Another great story from this author

I really enjoyed It Happened One Night. I love that the characters have faults and make mistakes. The story is not reduced to 'bad guy vs. good guy'. It is an emotional journey about a family and choices each member makes.

    Great read!

I saw this book on a book list and was interested from the beginning. I bought it the first weekend it came out and LOVED IT! I usually walk while I read and I will have to say this one almost make me walk off the path. I can't wait until Simple Wishes comes out.

More like a 3 1/2 stars for me

It was difficult for me to rate this book. Honestly, it's a good book. Lisa Dale really has a beautiful writing. The way the story was told was original and VERY emotional (which I love). Eli, the main character, was amazing. A solid beta hero with just a hint of caveman attitude... the best ;-).
He really was perfect, both in and out. Heck, every woman should have an Eli in her life !
And there stands probably the problem for me. Truth is, I really didn't like Lana very much. I had a lot of trouble connecting with her. The reasons for her behaviour are explained and some times I could really hurt for her. But mostly we just didn't bond (if you know what I mean). Maybe it's because I loved Eli so much. Some times when she hurt him (even unknowingly)I wanted Eli to find somebody else, somebody more worthy of his devotion.
I guess characters are like people. You can't love them all, or connect with them all. I read some great reviews for this book so I imagine some other readers felt close to Lana and cared for her. Unfortunatly I never really did.
I'll read any other book Miss Dale has to offer though, because she really has a lovely way to write a story. She knows how to reach the heart and make you care. In the meantime I'll keep daydreaming about wonderful Eli ;-).

It Happened One Night by Lisa Dale

This was a great book..I was not able to put it down very long..just had to get back to it and read the rest of the story. I loved the book because it was down to earth and a plot that could truly happen in real life. It was touching and at times very emotional which kept my interest going to page after page. I am keeping this book so I can re read it when I need to relax and just get into a comfortable book. This is one book to enjoy curled up by the fire and a book to free your mind of anything but what is being told in the book. I loved it very much

    Delightful story

It happened One Night is a different type of romance. It is more old school and traditional which I appreciated greatly. I was captivated with the story and the characters. The relationships which were important, between the sisters Lani and Karin as well as Lani and Eli are delved into in a sensitive way. This book is unforgettable due to the unique story and the writing.
