Break out the gin and your best flapper's dress because we're headed to a juice joint baby! I have to be honest, this book took me by surprise. I've never been a big fan of reading stories from that era (yeah, I know, I'm weird - so sue me) so I'll admit that I went into this book pretty skeptical Skepticism lasted for about 10 pages, and then I think my undies melted off promptly after that. This book was hot. Like, somebody call me an ambulance because I'm suffering from a book induced heat stroke, hot.

The characters were engaging, the details were wonderful, and the love scenes are not for the meek. Since we live in a society where subjects such as kink and BDSM have become some what main stream, this book is an interesting insight into how individuals with strong kinks might have felt, dealt with, and safely played out some of those taboo practices. This book is heavy on turbulent emotions and the general question of, "If I like this does that make me wrong?".

So if you like smoking hot scenes with spanking, rough sex, and menage, then I highly recommend this book for you. It's not just about the sex, the emotional state of the characters and their love stories are very prominent too, which is a strong reason as to why this book was so enjoyable for me.

Loved the characters. Loved the three stories and how they intertwined with each other. Definitely loved the sex scenes. 4 wine glasses (and you may want to drink at least two of those before you get to the good parts of this book so you're not scandalized to badly)!

I first noticed this book on Amazon one day underneath my recommendations and decided to place it on my Wish List. I have always loved the 1920s and the description of this book, as well as the cover, had me already ready to buy it when it released. I was contacted by Stephanie's assistant inJanuary to read the book early and review it. I definitely could not pass it up since the book was on the top of my Wish List so I did not miss out on buying it.

Stephanie Draven not only dived me into the Roaring 1920's with flappers, prohibition, and women's suffrage...but she brought me into a world of 20's erotica that includes BDSM, menage, and scandals.

Three different stories, but each have a connection with each other, which made me love this book even more. I believe more authors should do this kind of writing style. It made everything fall in place and took me into other's people's heads during each story.

The first story, Leave Me or Love Me, is about Nora Richardson and how her husband is going to leave her due to what she did with another man. She will stop at anything to win him back and have him with her forever. She'll even discover things about herself, she never knew she enjoyed. She'll even discover what her husband always wanted from her. This story definitely takes you out of your comfort zone and what Nora endures with her husband. He puts her in certain scenarios that would make women cringe, feel embarrass, or leave their husbands for. Instead, Nora is a strong-willed wife that will please her husband and spite her father, just to prove to her husband she loves him.

The second story, When I'm Bad I'm Better, is about the famous actress, Clara Cartwright, who has never fallen in love. Until, she meets a stranger one night, who has something of hers that could hurt her career. The stranger is about to reveal the real Clara and what she is capable of doing. He'll push her to new boundaries, she never thought she would enjoy, until the stranger introduces her to his best friend. This story leads you into a menage story where Clara is about to be devoured by two handsome guys, but only one will steal her heart permanently and change her for the better.

The last story, Let's Misbehave, is about the working girl Sophie O'Brien, who works at the hotel run by Robert Aster. He is introduced several times in this book. Sophie never thought her fantasies would come true, until she is called into her boss's office to discuss the journal that was found in her locker. He wants to make her journal fantasies come alive. In the mean time though, she may be over her head with Robert. Robert also may be over his head...but both are going to find out how much they really need each other in their lives.

I enjoyed all three stories and also enjoyed being taken back in the past with certain historical elements that definitely have intrigued me since I studied the Roarin' Twenties in school. Stephanie Draven did an amazing job on putting everything together and making it feel like I was taken back in that era with her characters.
Each story gets you out of your comfort zone, and Stephanie Draven makes each story more erotic it seems. ( at least in my opinion it was....one of my fave scenes is in the last story....let's just say it involves restraining an individual) =)
This book includes elements of BDSM, menage, and several other elements that you will have to read to find out.
If you love historical romance and erotica together, you will enjoy this sexy, erotic novel from Stephanie Draven

Posted on Romancing the Books blog / Reviewed by Crystal / Review Copy Provided by Netgalley / This book was so exciting. This was the first time that I read a book like this. It was like reading an anthology, but not quite. The three stories each have something different and yet every one is connected in it’s own little way. You might know from the beginning or it might take you til the end to figure it out.

There are six main characters. In the first story, we have Nora and her husband Jonathan. He finds out that when she was drunk that she kissed another man. Let’s say he finally lets his bad side out at the party and it will forever change both of their lives. It has a dark side of BDSM. So if you don’t like that kind of thing then I have warned you. It was so explosive and hot. Made me want a man like Jonathan, but not quite as dark.

The second story deals with three people. There is two main but the third plays a big part in the story. It deals with menages. The name of the story is When I’m Bad I’m Better. Clara and Leo are the people that we learn about in this one. It is a wild game that is played. When two people have so much sexual chemistry as these two then you know you will be taken on some wild adventures. You have Leo’s friend Robert come in to make it just a little more exciting.

In the third story, Let’s Misbehave, we get to play a game that is between Robert and Sophie. It is also a story that has Clara and Sophie in a sexual scene. You never know what is going to happen in this book. You are in one adventure between two people and all of sudden it turns into four. My mind is still going in circles wondering what happened. I say to myself did that really take place or was it something in my mind.

I have never had so much excitement in one book. The author did a wonderful job keeping up with all of this. I would have gotten everything mixed up. This is the first book that I have ever read from this author and if this is the way she writes I will be reading more. I feel like I have just come down from a huge high. I will be reading this book again. I want to make sure that I didn’t miss anything.

I will warn you that this book has a little of everything in it. It had BDSM, menage between three and four people. We have M/M/F, F/F, M/F and one part that has M/F/M/F. They might not all be in on the same act but they are in the story. So I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves something that is not the same boring stories that they read all the time. It makes you get out of your comfort zone and realize that there is more out there.

This book contains 3 separate but entwined stories. Some characters from the main story make appearances in the others and everything always comes back to the party that started it all.

    Love Me or Leave Me
Nora and Jonathan are on the brink of a divorce due to Nora kissing another man. Jonathan is livid and when Nora claims that she'll do whatever he wants to prove that she loves him, he has her dance with other men at the party to see if he can figure out who the mystery man is. But when he finds out who that guy is, he punches the guy which starts a fight.

I must say that I wasn't overly sympathetic to Nora. She was spoiled and well, I'm not a huge fan of cheating. However, towards the end of the story I was rooting for them.

    When I'm Bad I'm Better
Clara is a big name movie star. The party that takes place is in honor of her. She's not one for serious relationships. In fact she's content to be the mistress to the biggest pocket. Leo has admired her on screen well before they met. He actually has a sex tape that she starred in. In fact, Clara would like nothing more than destroy the tape and forget about it. However, Leo has other plans. If Clara lets Leo take the reigns on her sex life for a little while he will give her back the tape.

Leo and Clara were interesting characters. Leo knew how to push Clara to new limits and always seemed to know what she'd like. Their exploration of each other was an interesting read. I must admit that I wasn't a whole fan of the blackmailing that takes place in the beginning but once Leo started to show his feelings towards her, it lessened the blow.

    Let's Misbehave
Sophie's boss calls her into his office to discuss something that's been brought to his attention. Her fantasy diary was confiscated from her work locker. However, instead of reprimanding her, Robert suggest they play a game. They will act out the fantasies in her diary.

Robert was in all three stories and it was nice to see him get his own story. Their encounter is innocent and a lot slower moving than the previous two. However, it doesn't take long for things to heat up.

Considering that I'm not a short stories person, I really enjoyed this. I think it helped that all the stories were intertwined, so we got to meet the characters before their stories began. Even though a couple of the circumstances were less than ideal, I still really enjoyed the book as a whole. Since it is 3 short stories, there isn't a lot of filler. The author gets right down to business, sometimes quite literally, with her writing. This is a great story for anyone who is a fan of romance and novellas containing a bit of smut.
