Not as good as I thought it would be
Perhaps I expected too after reading the reviews on this book. I was good but not what I expected.

Funniest Read Yet
Not only is this a book about football, but it is a book about life. It also was, surprisingly, the funniest book I have ever read. I laughed so loud at points that I woke up my ten year old daughter who was asleep upstairs. My husband and I had tears of laughter streaming down our faces as I read him the sections that were making me laugh so hard. But beyond humor, the book is inspiring, realistic and always interesting as Bradshaw looks at his life in the NFL and beyond.

A review from a regular guy.
I think this book was a great book to read. If you like to read about football and Terry Bradshaw then this is the book for you. The only problem i had was at the end it didn't talk about as much football as his broadcasting career. This book talks about his ranching days and how he didn't have all the money in the world in college.

Humorous, intelligent, sensitive
First I want to say that I review a lot of books on this site and hardly ever give 5 stars, except for some literary classic or something that deeply moves me. 300 pages of Bradshaw cracking jokes doesn't quite rank with "War and Peace", but it's a wonderful book, nonetheless. There's a laugh on every page -- I'm not exaggerating, it really is hilarious. But, beyond that, the book also holds deeper meaning. If you read into it, there's tips on things like coping with success and failure, getting along with people that don't like you, doing something at which you have no talent for, and living life in general. It's wonderful that Bradshaw could play this very intense game, reaching the top, and still maintain the humor and lightness of it all, keeping a healthy perspective. People who have read this book may like to compare it to "Gold in the Water", which is about Olympic swimming. The intensity of competition is there, but it is dead serious, nothing like Bradshaw.

A guy's answer to Bridget Jones
This a wonderfully written, wonderfully readable book. The collaboration of Bradshaw and David Fisher is amazing, every word sounds as if it came straight from Bradshaw's mouth. It is so refreshing for an athlete to be simply himself, charming and vulnerable without feeling the need to put anyone else down. I hope those not interested in sports won't cheat themselves by overlooking this vastly entertaining and honest memoir.
