Funny, Thoughtful and Well-Written
This is a great story for both parents and children. It is written cleverly from the perspective of Jake the Snake, a kindergartener who doesn't set out to behave poorly, but his antics always seem to take a bad turn and he winds up in The Stupid Time-Out Chair. Jake is sure that Santa is going to bring him a lump of coal for Christmas because of all his time-outs. You have to check out this book to see if Santa will be forgiving or not;I'm not telling! Really, this is a clever, amusing, well-written book with good illustrations to go along. I highly recommend it to anyone with little ones around and it makes a great gift! I wait for more Jake the Snake adventures. Well done, Shelly Nicholson!!

A Really Fun and Cute New Book!!!
I stumbled upon this book and purchased it because the cover and description looked cute! And it was very cute! This book was funny for my children. The book is written in the voice of a 5-year-old boy who is full of orneriness. His quotes and outlook on life are funny. He swings on the dining room chandelier, builds a sandcastle with laundry detergent then digs around in the washing machine for a handerkerchief to use as a flag, but first makes sure there's "no snot" on it. (this had my kids in hysterics). He thinks ear wax tastes gross and drowns the lizard in his mom's chocolate pretzel dip. Watch out for the lizard guts. A really cute book with really cute illustrations.
