I've loved the Janie books for over 20 years and am delighted to read a final one to end the series in an amazing way.

This book is rich with suspense, mystery, heart, emotion and the ending was very satisfying. I won't spoil the story, so will just say I found it refreshing that marriage is included as a subplot for two young people in love--rather than moving in together, focusing solely on career, or dating casually with no commitment. I personally like commitment. And I love happy endings. This book delivers.

There's a wonderful Author's Note at the end of the story which explains how each book in the Janie series came to be - and how it wasn't meant to be a series. There was also a movie starring Kellie Martin, a recent eBook called WHAT JANIE SAW and there are some fun extra details in the Author's Note that made me smile.

I haven't heard readers online discussing this book yet, but I'm sure fans of the series will want to know #5 JANIE just came out, so spread the news.

Ok I have loved these books since I was 10 and while I did enjoy reading the story I found the writing in this book to be insultingly horrible.
First, there are quite a few facts that are given in the other books that are different in this one. Things like if Frank sent Hannah's checks every three months or each month. I have found quite a few places where facts are different than given at other times. I had just read What Janie Found so the facts were fresh in my memory. If you are writing a book series you should at least look at the facts you gave in other books. Editors should have picked up on it as well.
There is also inconsistency in the technology in the books. I understand that these books were written far apart but its glaringly obvious that a person who uses the technology that Janie uses in Face on the Milk Carton (published in 1990) would not have an iphone what is suppose to be just five years later.
Also at a certain point in the book it becomes like a broken record. Tons of people all giving the same opinion and yet it has to detail each conversation. So its like reading the same thing twenty times. I mean I got the point the first time, I do not need to read tons of people telling Janie and Reid the same exact thing. The fact that I did not agree with the opinion that they were all giving made it even more annoying to read.
These issues aside I thought that it was a good ending to the series and added a lot of interesting information about Hannah and the kidnapping.

    The peacemakers~3-4~Professor What

Oceana sold her house and office and together with ivy jade bought an old hotel far in the country. It had 10 bedrooms, 10 very large, empty rooms, and a ballroom and was all packed into 3 storys. Just one problem. NO BASEMENT! So they dug one. It was more a tunnel system than a proper basement. When they were done they sat in their underground living room.
chapter 4

    The portal.

POP! Aportal appeared on the wall of their underground home. A man with the legs of a spider walked out, straightening his bow-tie. "I come from the furture. You are the last hope! I have seen the end of the world and come to prevent it!"
sore fingers. More after one positive review.
