Great Book, Bad for Nook
I love this text. It has been very well written and clearly explains the concepts that I need to get back into Java programming. My only complaint, which is why I rated it a 3 instead of a 5 is that when formatted for the Nook, many of the examples run off screen. In many locations, the several lines of example code all appear on the same line of text, so all the reader gets is the comment line that explains the example and then a block of text explaining why the example did what it did. I am still able to piece together what I need, but seeing the code used is half of the educational value of texts like this, so I highly recommend the book, but get the paper-back version. Was this review helpful?
