An enjoyable and informative read for Sibelius fans.
Jean Sibelius is my favorite composer which is why I read this book. After reading this I feel like I know the great composer. This book talks about his life, his musical works, and his struggles. Sibelius was far from a perfect man. He was a flawed human with a lifelong addiction to alcohol which strained his marriage. Reading about the circumstances surrounding the composition of some of my favorite classical pieces was enjoyable. All in all, this is a great read that tells you about the life of one of the greatest composers ever to have lived, warts and all.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
