Everything about everything of the Muppets & every Jim Henson creation!

I am a complete Muppet lover!!!I have been since I was a little girl.Over the years I have always looked for books, etc. about them and their awesome creator, Jim Henson. Out of everything that I have come across I would have to say that The Works is the best and covers the most about anything you could possibly think of. It is an absolutely wonderful and entertaining book for any one of any age!!!

It's time to play the music...

If you've ever wondered what Jim Henson was thinking when he put two ping-pong ball halves on a greenish sock puppet, then this book is for you. This book takes you on a historical (and often hysterical) trip from Jim's beginnings doing commercials to his last project before his death in 1991 (which was MuppetVision in 4D at Disny/MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida) I am a huge Muppets fan and when I heard that Jim Henson died, I was shattered. Then I discovered this book (which, unfortunately, I no longer have), and I literally absorbed the book in one 8 hour sitting. It's a fascinating look into the world of Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Steve Whitmire, Kevin Clash and all the people that have been involved in most of the projects that Jim Henson (and Jim Henson's Creature Shop) worked on. Colorful, funny, informative and even a bit sad, this book let me ride the wave of emotions that Jim was able to convey to the people. Everything is here. From Sesame Street to the Muppet Movie, from the music through the mayhem, it is THE definitive book on the Muppets. A MUST buy for any serious Muppet Fan. And even for those who aren't.
