Not only an excellent book for learning some of the more arcane strategies when job-hunting on the internet, but a good job hunting book all-around. Unlike other books about the Net and job hunting, it isn't just a collection of sites you would find with a decent Google search anyway; it talks about how you can use the Net to find out what companies are hiring people with your skills, searching them out, finding ways to the people with the power to hire, and so on. Also has a lot of information about the weaknesses of Monster, CareerBuilder, and Yahoo! HotJobs, and how to find niche job boards, new approaches to using Google & other search engines, alternative search engines, and search engines tied specifically to the job hunt. A must have for the modern job hunter, I think. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
If i had to list any weaknesses, I would point to the books' own recommendation that it will best serve you if you buy What Color Is Your Parachute as well, and use them both... but that isn't exactly a bad idea, either. The book was instrumental in helping me get my present job, which I happen to love... what could be better?
