Too many cuss words and no chemistry.

I couldn't feel the chemistry between May and Jude. The story, first of all, didn't flow and there were just too many cuss words to enjoy what little there was. I couldn't feel myself in the story and I definitely didn't think of Jude's character as a large, handsome ...Read More

    Love It!!

I have read several Lori Foster books and as usually I loved this one!! I bought Jude's Law and Murphy's Law together not realizing that they went together, boy was I happy. When Jude's Law ended, I felt like I didn't quite know what happened to the characters and was a little disappointed but, Murphy's Law continued the story which made me really happy. Jude's Law is a great book, easy reading, entertaining and as always the loves scenes are great!! Plus, it has a happy ending, what more could a girl want!

P.S The Fighter Series books are great too!

My very first Lori Foster Book

I don't remember how I stumble across this book but this was the very first Lori Foster book I read and I loved her ever since. She's now one of my favorite author. This is a light summer read that you don't have to put alot of thoughts in. I love her writing style, the cussing suits me perfectly and the sex scene is soooo steamy I love it. I had been Lori Foster's fan ever since. There's an author to every type of read and this kind of erotic, sexy, sweet, funny, light summer read has got to be Lori Foster! =^.^=

    Loved it!!!!!!!!!

Funny and catchy. As a very picky reader I am constantly trying to find a new author I will enjoy. I picked up Santa Baby as a Jennifer Crusie fan and went away a Lori Foster fan. I picked up Judes Law and instantly fell in love with the whole story. Jude is a guy we all want to find...May is funny and curvy, someone we could be. I instantly got Murphys Law to keep the story going and loved it just as much. If only I could get my husband to act like Jude or Quinton now.

    Terrific Hot Read

Lori has written another keeper here. Jude Jamison, a successful fighter in the SBC and an actor has left the Hollywood glitz behind to settle in the small town of Stillbrook, Ohio. The owner of the local art gallery, Mary Price catches his eye and gets his blood pumping like no one else has ever done. But here in lies the problem, Mary does not think that Jude could possibly be serious about someone like her, that is not to say she is not interested, just not interested in being a temporary diversion for Jude until he tires of small town life and returns to Hollywood. When Mary's brother Tim gets into deep trouble, and Mary has no alternative but to seek Jude's help, Jude sees this as an opportunity to prove to Mary that he is dead serious about his intentions with her. But first he has to make sure that he indeed does not end up dead. This is a great read from the thrilling action packed scenes to the hot sizzling love scenes that burn up the pages. It is a book that keeps you anxious to see what unfolds next. Lori has written a keeper of a book here in her usual style where there are main characters and sub characters who need a story of their own. I look forward to her continuing with the secondary characters in Murphy's Law coming to us in September.

    Disappointing

Since I haven't read a Lori Foster book yet that I didn't like, I was surprised to find that I didn't really care for this one. The main characters got on my nerves and they didn't seem to go together for me. There was no connection.

Ultimate ¿Bad Boy¿ Meets Romantic Suspense

Lori Foster¿s newest release, JUDE¿S LAW, is a delicious ¿bad boy finds true love¿ novel with an element of romantic suspense. The hero, Jude Jamison, is an Ultimate Fighting Championship-style sports star who becomes a hot property in Hollywood ¿ only to be accused of a murder he didn¿t commit. Although legally cleared of the murder, he isn¿t free of suspicion and retreats to a small Ohio town for some peace and privacy. He meets the heroine, May Price, whose lush, ¿real woman¿ curves are irresistible. But she needs some serious convincing to believe Jude is interested in her, and her brother is entangled in a loan-shark-like mess that could get Jude killed. It¿s always fun to watch Foster¿s Alpha male heroes pursue and win their soul mates, and, as always, Foster¿s love scenes are incendiary. Violent thugs and the threat against Jude make for an interesting subplot in which May¿s brother Tim has to grow emotionally to face his responsibilities ¿ with the help of Jude¿s remarkable former trainer, Denny. And Ashley, May¿s best friend, is a wonderful secondary character who gets her own story in Murphy¿s Law, a book that is out later this year. I look forward to this sequel.

    She did it again!

Lori Foster has to be one of my all time favorite authors. I'm so glad to see that she's going full throttle into another set of zany characters. As a curvier woman myself it was great to see a character that had a real body in a romance novel. Lori Foster treats the body image issue that May has through the book in a truly realistic way.......Jude is a lusty and inventive man and the passion here is first rate. This man knows how to make a woman feel beautiful....Lori Foster has always been very good at writing supporting characters and again, she doesn't disappoint, there's a few you'll love and a few you'll love to hate.....I highly recommend this one......And be on the lookout for Ashley's story soon. If I know Lori...and I've been reading her forever...she'll have a new installment soon. God, love her.

    A delightfully sexy read

Lori Foster tells wonderfully heartwarming and sexy stories rich with earthy alpha heroes and the strong, tenderhearted women that love them. Another of Foster's trademarks is the emphasis on the importance of family, no matter how unconventional that family may be. It is one of my favorite things about her stories. 'Jude's Law' is no exception. *** Former SBC fighter and famous actor Jude Jamison now resides in Stillbrook, Ohio, where he's found a woman who he can't get out of his mind. May Price is that woman. She drives him crazy - with lust. But she refuses to have anything to do with him. Jude is frustrated by May's rejection. He can't figure it out - is it because of his scandalous past? His Hollywood lifestyle and all the photographers that follow him around? He doesn't think he can stand it anymore. How can she really believe they're just friends when all he can think about is her ample curves and taking her to bed? *** May has a lot on her plate with owning her own art gallery and taking care of the family that doesn't appreciate her like they should. She can't believe that anyone as sexy and as famous as Jude could be interested in someone like her, but that doesn't mean she's not interested. In fact, May is very attracted to Jude, but knows that she cannot let her heart be broken. So she rejects his advances. Repeatedly. Then something happens that May knows she can't handle on her own, so she turns to the one person who can help: Jude. As upset as he is by May's rejection, he can't force himself to turn her away when she comes to him for help. He adores her soft brown eyes, her lush and full figure, her honesty, the way she really sees him, not the movie star. Circumstances have May moving into Jude's fortress of a house, where they able to learn more about each other and the threat that has put them all in danger. Dealing with the threat together, and letting each other see how they truly are opens their eyes and their hearts as they fall in love and realize that they can have a future together - one filled with love, laughter, and family. *** Despite Jude's rather unique occupation, this story is written in such a way that you will totally believe a movie star can fall in love with a small-town woman with a generous heart. Jude may be gorgeous, but he has honor, discipline, and loyalty to those he cares about. May is a full-figured woman who doesn't apologize for her appearance - she's not willing to sacrifice her pleasures so she can look like a walking skeleton. In this day and age where younger women are getting smaller and smaller, it's a welcome and much needed change to find a positive role model for women. I applaud Lori Foster's portrayal of May and am glad she didn't turn her into a shrinking violet, but instead shows us how strong and resilient and caring she truly is, and how she embraces her sexuality when she and Jude finally do give into their mutual attraction. Their love scenes are very hot and sensuous, and the intimacy they share brings them closer together emotionally, which makes it an even sexier read. Despite the current trends in publishing today, Lori Foster knows that nothing is hotter than romance in a relationship, and she excels at it. *** One of many highlights in this story is the acerbic and hilarious character of Denny, a former SBC trainer and Jude's employee. Then there's the hint we see of the future romance for May's best friend Ashley and a a tantalizing mystery that is bound to affect the people in Stillbrook. You will just have to read 'Jude's Law' to see what that might be. Lori breaks a lot of stereotypes in this book, such as those about fighters, actors, weight, and family. It is a refreshing story that you will want to read again and again.

More great reading from Lori Foster

May Price owns and operates an art gallery in the small Ohio town of Stillbrook. May is an intelligent, full-bodied, beautiful woman, the epitome of a real woman as far as Jude Jamison is concerned. As a successful SBC fighter and a famous actor, he has had his fill of the stick figures that Hollywood considers beautiful and now wants nothing more than to fill his hands with May's generous curves. May doesn't see herself as being beautiful. She accepts the fact that she's full-figured, but she has too much confidence and satisfaction with who she is and the success that she has made out of her business to change. Still, she finds it difficult not to compare herself to the tall, thin, model-types that Jude is used to spending time with. Jude is still trying to adjust to the quiet life of Stillbrook, despite his celebrity status. Rag reporters and photographers dog his every step, trying to catch the smallest little bit of dirt for a story. When May's brother Tim gets into trouble and she and Jude are dragged into the middle of it, Jude insists on protecting May and helping Tim turn his life around. Once Jude gets a taste of May's irresponsible brother and her offensive parents, he is even more determined to pamper and protect her. May isn't proud of the fact that her family is so needy, but she is determined to be there for them, and is certain that her resolve to do so will take care of any thoughts Jude might have of a future with her. Keeping May safe will most likely prove to be less complicated than persuading her that his feelings for her are very real. Lori Foster once again gives readers a delicious hero with an unusual profession. The insight into the sport of extreme fighting is intriguing and Jude is wonderfully written as a champion of the sport. May is self-assured and strong, a refreshing heroine who is unashamedly voluptuous. Jude is audacious in his relentless pursuit of May, who in turn is absolutely adorable as she struggles with her own emotions in response to his gentle, tender attentions. This is an excellently written book and I can easily give it a hearty recommendation.

Get ready for a great hot read!

May Price is a sweet, independent owner of an art gallery in a little town in Ohio. Jude is a larger than life, sexy movie star/professional fighter with a past. The attraction is there even when she had tried to ignore. Jude is not about to give up and his chance came when May turn to him to help her bother. Sparks fly between them the minute they meet at his house and he is not about to let this opportunity pass. This is a story of two different worlds intertwined in a sexy romance that have you sighing and turning pages `til the end. Lori Foster¿s trademarks of steamy love scenes and sexy protective heroes and big-hearted, independent heroines show again in this book her sense of humor shines in this great read too. There is a lot going on this book a lot of unique characters but this does not interfere with the story line and the happy ending. To the contrary, it gives the story a different edge and a little touch of mystery. All this traits are one of the things that make her one of my favorite authors. Jude¿s Law is another page-turner that will leave you wanting more! Cant wait for Murphy and Ashley¿s story!
