If you like legal thrillers/suspense, you'll love this one. This book kept my attention from the very beginning. I must say that I laughed out loud at the very end of the book (people on the subway must have thought that I was crazy)! It doesn't matter that was my honest reaction to the ending. I highly recommend it!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

A wonderful book that kept me reading each night for a week. The characters are well developed, and the story is much better than those Grisham has given us the past few years. Most of the story takes place in the court room, but the initial 50 or so pages set the story and characters up well. One of the best endings to a great novel that I have read in years. If you like Grisham, or court room drama, this is the book for you. It is so wonderful to discover a new author. I can hardly wait until I start another Martini book! Was this review helpful? Don't Hesitate To Buy This One!
This is one of Martini's better books, unlike his newer stuff (which I do not recommend). If you've been a fan of Martini's star character, Paul Madriani, you will like this one. He now represents the judge in this novel who has been his worst enemy in court in the past. Very interesting book, and quite humorous. I highly recommend that you get it - but read his earlier books first so you can appreciate the change in the relationship between Madriani and the Judge (such as Undue Influence and/or Compelling Evidence). Was this review helpful?
