The stories are great, funny and there's a lesson always in each. She's usually stuck in the book as much as she could. Great for Summer reading for 2nd and 3rd graders.

i am 10 and i found this an easy read. depending on your reading level this may become boring. i read this on a bet. i had to read all the judy moody books in a week. since my teacher thinks i should be reading more mature books, i also think this is somewhat boring. if you like goofy and silly stories i recomend you read this. if you are more of the serious type, this book may become annoying.

I recomend this book to any child.

I am an 8 years old girl and I recomend this book because it is funny. It was easy to read and it took me about 2 days to finish it. I am reading the second book already.

    a reviewer

There is this girl named Judy Moody. She woke up on the first day of school and was in a bad mood. Nothing would cheer her up. Then when she got to school, she got a project assigned to her. The project was a Me Collage. She was all done her Me Collage she forgot to put down her favorite pet. So, she told her dad and mom that she needed a new pet. When they wet to the pet store they couldn't find a good pet so they bought a Venus Fly Trap plant. She thoght it was the coolest thing a live! I don't want to tell you the ending so go read the book yourself and find out the ending.

    My kids loved it!

Judy Moody is wonderful read-aloud material. My 7-year-old read ahead, yet she still looked forward to hearing it re-read. There is some 'bathroom' humor, but nothing extreme...a rubber hand in the commode, a toad that tinkles when held. I found the writing style to be light and fun--kids being kids, doing kid stuff. The illustrations are pretty cute, too. I think the message of the book is that we have the ability to make the best of bad situations, moods, relationships, etc. If Mr.Todd had asked Judy to put a favorite saying on her 'Me Collage' she might have used, 'if you're given lemons, make lemonade. (Then sell it on the corner!)'
