This is a fantastic story. Real preteens and early teens can relate to the main character's feelings and problems.

    Great Book!

During this summer, I have read this book named just another day in my insanely real life and I have got to say that this is one of the best books I have read so far. I couldn't put this book down even for a minute, it was just remarkable. It's about a girl name Cassie who has to take all the responsibilities in the house. Plus she wouldn't have to be in this mess if it wasn't for her sister Miranda. She should be home doing all the chores and taking care of there little brother Jackson but instead she was out hanging with her friends, and her mom working all day without leaving anytime to be with Jackson. Beside she couldn't do anything since "dad was out of the picture"; well at least that's what her mom told her. Although Cassie really didn't knew what happened between her parents. Well then they had no choice expect leaving there fancy house into a "smelly little unit" as Cassie likes to call it. In school it was hard for Cassie with no after-school activities and then there was Mr. Mullaney; the weirdest, hardest teacher in the seventh grade who hates everything Cassie does. Also she writes stories in her journal to express her feeling. In the end she gets a letter from her dad saying he is sorry and he is coming back. So may I say I really enjoyed ever second of this book and it was a real life story and i would definitely recommend this book to all my friends.

Therefore, I have to give all the credits to the wonderful and amazing author Barbara Dee. Its overwhelming how this is her first novel and I must say she did a remarkable job on this. I hope everyone enjoys this book as much as I did and I am definitely looking forward on reading all of her books. Especially this is me from now on; I just can't wait to read that book and I hope she keeps writing and never give up.

i am still reading this book but so far it is a great book. Its about a girl in 7th grade who (whom!) s dad left her at a young age. Now she has to fend for her self, because her mom works way to late and is never home. She has to deal with her mean english teacher mr mullany (sir mullvo) she writes a really great novel within the book too. This has made me motivated to write my own novel too.
