Detail is wonderful but in excess is misery
Katherine Ann Porter has a way of describing things and situation in marvelous detail. However, as the detail goes on and the story line itself is lost it is hard to regain an interest in the story she set out to write. If the description itself is the story then she has done a beautiful job of writing a well thought out work. On the other hand if she is to have a deeper meaning in her story and her writing then the overload of description helps to distract from the original meaning. She is a wonderful writer but it is hard for me to keep the interest when she is using too much detail at a very high pace. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
