Keen insights into the Kennedy international presidency
The author provides an excellent insider's view of the thought process, strategy and concerns of Kennedy as a living, concerned president. Kennedy faced international challenges that his predecessors did not have to face. He exhibited overall-coolness, exasperation with his staff (notably the military), a constant questioning mind, all while he was under pressure. The book provided me with a road map against which to measure other contemporary leaders under international stress. I developed a new respect for Kennedy as a leader of a nation during a very difficult transitory period. Completely engrossing and spendidly-researched
