Kill Shot by J D Favor - a review by author Rose Anderson

-- Micki looked back over her shoulder just as her rear window imploded. A scream raged in her throat, but came out as a whimper. Stomping on the gas pedal, she slammed the door and veered out in front of another car, barely missing its front fender. Her tires squealed in protest as the driver swerved and braked. Micki’s heart slammed against her ribs. She couldn’t catch her breath. With each thud of her heart, the need to escape the park escalated. She could feel the crosshairs trained on her neck.

OMG! The tension steadily ratchets higher. J.D. Favor's Kill Shot is a quick pace romantic suspense determined hold the reader in its grip until the last page is turned. A fun and exciting read.

    Hot and Heavy

When someone shoots out the windows of wedding photographer Micki Vermillion¿s car, she reluctantly calls her ex-boyfriend, a cop named Oz. The attacks continue and Oz is determined to protect Micki. Oz still loves Micki, but she wants to live her own life, and make her own decisions. This was a suspensful story with two engaging characters and enough steam to fog the mirrors.

    more from this reviewer

Suspense and Romance all rolled into this book

Kill Shot is another fast paced, great read from J.D. Faver. Micki never dreamed that in her line of work as a photographer and doing what she loves best, would throw her in danger. When her car windows are shot out during a photo shoot, mistrust runs high for Micki. She doesn¿t want to, but calls on Oz, a policeman and her ex-boyfriend, the one person she knows she can trust, to find out why and who is after her. The more time they spend together, the more Micki remembers why she isn¿t with Oz any longer. Micki refuses to allow anyone to take away her independence. Oz is still in love with Micki, but if he¿s to win back her heart, he¿ll need to admit and understand that Micki is and will remain her own person. The ultimate protector, Oz has lessons to learn about giving Micki her own reins to hold.

I loved these characters. I want an Oz of my own.

This was a very sensual romantic suspense. The relationship between Oz and Micki is both tender and smokin' hot. I loved that Oz kept trying to get Micki in that safe little corner and she kept climbing out. Gutsy heroine puts herself in danger, but the hero is bound to protect her at all costs. The sniper is sexy too. Oh, Mama! And who is pulling the strings? That's the question.
