    The John Wayne Gacy Murders

This book is as close as your going to get to what really happend. The author Terry Sullivan worked on this case from day one. He also to this day gives presentations on this case with the officers involved in the case. This book is very well written and gives great detailed information on the day to day events that took place.

I found it extremely candid and quite enjoyable.

Written by one of the Prosecuting attorney's, I found this book to be very interesting particulary in the areas where it delved into the routine of the police officers surveilling Gacy just prior to his arrest. The author very candidly descibes named policed officers as drinking regulary and volumnously while on the job which astounded me. They also whiled away the hours of surveilance by playing hand held video football games! The author pulls no punches in his description of his comrades which really surprised me and most likely angered many of them. He is a well written and educated man who knew more of the details of the case than most anyone I suppose. It is a long book but well done and very detail oriented.
