Good
As I have stated in previous reviews, I have a difficult time reading Heather Graham's books. It isn't that it is poorly written, but the flow isn't quite right to me. That said, this book was the hardest of hers I have read. The beginning of the story was awfully confusing with many names, and I almost put it down - but I am glad i didn't. While it was not like her other mysteries that bring history into the mix, this was a great thriller with exciting characters. If you can get past the confusion of the first few chapters, this is a read I would certainly recommend!

What happened???
I LOVE Heather Graham. Really. LOVE her books, the paranormal aspect, the relationships, the plots.... This one? Yeah, not so much. The plot is fabulous. Keeps you guessing until the end. The characters were even human and likable. The phrasing, the conversations, the overall writing... I was sorely disappointed. Like someone else had taken Ms. Graham's story and written it, and not nearly as well. Seriously, every writing cliche out there, everything they tell beginning writers not to do, it's all there. Made the whole book feel off for me. I plowed through though, because the plot was interesting and unpredictable enough for me to NEED to know how it ended. Good ending, but still a huge disappointment that will make me hesitate before laying the money on the counter for another Heather Graham. Especially a hardback.

Not Graham's Best
I've been reading Heather Graham/Shannon Drake books since the 80's. Some are better than others but I've always enjoyed the stories and read with anticipation to the end. This book was no different except this is the first time I felt that Ms. Graham left some loose ends. It may not have been important in the grand scheme of things, but I couldn't help noticing there was never any follow-up to Stuckey and Ted having gone to New Orleans. This is minor but bugged me enough that I re-read the last couple of chapters hoping that I had just missed something. That issue aside, the story had a decent plot, a bit of suspense, romance and paranormal activity and some interesting twists and turns. Ms. Graham has certainly written better books but I found this to be an entertaining read on a rainy weekend.

Disappointed
I was looking forward to reading my first Heather Graham book but I must say I am sadly disappointed. I am not even going to bother to finish the book. The characters are shallow, the plot non existent, suspense, there is none. I am sorry I wasted my money on this author, I won't do it again. I wish I could return it so I could get my money back, my reason for returning? Worst book I ever didn't finish.

Wait for revisions
Poor conversion to an ebook. Have read several Heather Graham books and this one just was not her usual caliber. It seemed rushed with a touch of an edge to it.

Bad spacing of words in ebook version
This conversion to EBooks is bad. Single words have been separated through out the entire book, which makes reading very difficult. Words like sometimes appear as some times. I checked the print version and it was only the ebook version.

The publisher wrote me that they have fixed this version, but I don't know if B&N has fixed this yet. -

Save your Money!
The worst edited book I have ever read. Many typos and alot of the wording just did not make sense. The plot of the book was good, but the writing was not. Not encouraged to purchase any other books by this author.

Poor editing
Decent entertainment although the plot was predictable. Probably the worst editing of all the e-books I have purchased. Many typos and spelling errors.

Heather wows us with her story line/plot that's just believable enough to have her readers wondering about the validity of the paranormal aspect of the tale. Her dialogue is a mix of urban chic with a liberal dose of cop speak and a dollop of evil doer babbling, but enough of everything so that your attention is raptly kept. Her hero Luke and heroine Chloe are equally troubled souls and intimately enough known by our author that we readers can identify, empathize and sympathize with them. Heather's supporting cast of characters is a motley crew of models, religious fanatics, concerned parents, friends and loved ones and the story benefits from every one. Plus you'll get a reunion with the Harrison Agency members from her other works of paranormal fiction. Her romance is an integral part of her story and readers will see it blossom and bloom before their eyes. They will experience the joys and pitfalls of our hero and heroine. The love scenes are hot and spicy and while not leaving much to the imagination she makes them tender and sweet.
Do you like a healthy dose of terror in your romantic suspense, great characters wonderful scenery and dastardly villains. If so this is your next must read. -
