Very interesting social ideas wrapped up in a detective story
There are several social issues that are very well poked at in this story. I found it very entertaining and thought provoking. I read some reviews that they didn't like the ending but I didn't have a problem with it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. The puns got on my nerves a few times. A little is fine, it gives a sense of verisimilitude to the story to think that some terms would be invented with puns in them around the technology, but at times Brin lays it on so heavily that it's distracting. This only happens for a few pages so I can overlook it.
I should note that there are a few (probably 30 or so) typos in the Nook Book edition (I have the ones I've noticed highlighted if B&N wants to contact me to point them out). Not really bad but irritating at times.
