Recommended - I'm glad I purchased this book.
I used this book in a classroom of 5 - 6 year olds to teach them the similarities in a classroom in the US compared to a kindergarten classroom in China. It is a flip-me-over book, meaning one side goes through a day in a U.S. kindergarten classroom. Flip over to read through a story about a kindergarten class in China. Both classrooms are greeted by the teacher, have a story time, art time, eat lunch, celebrate a classmate's birthday, have recess, and share with friends. Several Chinese words are introduced (like the ones for friend, lunch, numbers 1 - 5). I wish the phonetic pronunciations were included. I had to look them up on the internet to learn how to correctly pronounce the words. Overall it is a nice introduction of similarities in a typical school day for children across the globe. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
