    Gripping Stories

Ann Rule is probably THE BEST true crime writer out there and has been for many, many years. I enjoyed this book as I have with all of the others written by her, but I was hoping for a bit more with the first story "Kiss me,Kill me". I usually find her first story in her novels to be the best but I actually liked the others (the shorter cases)much more. I also found "The Highway Accident" to be quite familiar, and I think it was in another book she wrote as well.. A little run on. All in all though Ann Rule is a great writer and her stories will have you sad for the victims and cheering for justice.

    Good Stories, Told Well

It's Ann's usual style of story telling and really bringing those victims to life, basically. When you hear of these stories, you generally feel very removed from them but Ann brings the victims, cases, families, etc back to life.

    kept my interest

I liked how the writer kept a steady pase and not stagnate on just one case. He would always regroup at some point in the storyline. He blended the stories with a smooth transition. You could feel his compassion for each individual case. He would remind the reader how to becareful not to fall victims as these unfortunate souls had. I appreciated how he gave validation to each victim at the end of the book by including photos. He gave additional purpose to those lost ...Thank you for opening my eyes and re awakening my awareness

    Good Read

I think the only thing I don't like about the short stories is that so many details get skipped. We go almost straight from crime to court. In several of the stories I'm still confused about how conviction happened because so few details were given. Ann always writes a good story, though.

    Very interesting

The title referred to the last and most truly horrifying story and slightly to the other stories. Enjoyed the updating of the criminals involved and am looking forward to further updates.

    Ann Rule rules!

The queen of true-crime narratives continues her reign with this collection of murder histories. She shows how sex, lust and love become excuses for stalking, obsessions, delusions, kidnappings, predation and murder¿the ultimate in depraved crimes. If a murder is unsolved after 48 hours, the less likely it will be solved decreases as times passes. But Rule brings us one case in which it took 36 years to find the killer, assisted by the advent of DNA evidence, and other ¿cold case¿ files. I appreciated the way Rule attempts to follow up with the present-day disposition of the perpetrators, when possible, and her aspirations for the lives-cut-short of the victims.
