Fun Historical Vampire Tale
As a lover of historical romance AND vampire romance, I had a fun time reading this tale. Kate Pearce does a great job at building this world of Henry VIII's court and meshing history with the vampire/druid world. The less formal dialogue took me out of the story a little here and there, but other than that, I enjoyed the story. Recommended reading!

Druids, Vampires, and Slayers, oh my!
This book is a true page-turner. Once I picked it up I couldn't put it down. Roselyn Llewellyn is a true kickbutt vampire slayer in Heny VIII Tudor court. She meets her match in Sir Christopher Ellis, a slayer in his own right. They must fight together to protect the King and all the while forces are uniting against them finding true love and a happily ever after. Awesome book, can't wait for the next in the series.

Highly recommended-a must read for vampire romance readers
I was hooked from the moment I picked up the book. The passion triangle between Rosalind, Rhys and Christopher kept me intrigued throughout the entire book-I could not put it down. The author has done a wonderful job creating a setting that transports the reader back to historical England with the language, dress and customs. And of course the genre tied everything up into a nice package. I cannot wait until February to read the next installment in what I know will be an astounding series.

Great start to The Tudor Vampire Chronicles
This was a really good read. The characters are well written and easy to relate to. The story moves a tad slow at times but picks up speed quickly.

We get a good look at the turmoil that each character is experiencing. It was frustrating that the characters spoke in their heads instead of each other. This caused the story to end a little abruptly for me and left me waiting for the story end. If you like books that doesn't have a happily ever after ending, this is a good story for you. I will definitely read the next story in the series so I can find out what happens and if there is a happily ever after ending. -
The first Tudor Vampire Chronicles is a wonderful historical romantic fantasy
In 1485 the Druids and King Henry Tudor made a pact in which the priests are to eradicate the vampire race while he becomes ruler of England and Wales. In 1529 at the Richmond Palace, home of the court of King Henry VIII, there have been a series of murders; the victims drained of all their blood. Obviously a serial killing vampire or multitude of the undead is making the palace unsafe for humans.
The Druids assign born vampire hunter Rosalind Llewellyn to kill the predator. However, before she can find the hidden beast, she must deal with vampire protector Sir Christopher Ellis the Druid slayer. Attracted to one another, both are stunned when their superiors order them to cooperate in finding and destroying a rogue. Neither is prepared to be soul mates fulfilling an ancient prophecy if they truly team up and if they survive the deadly mission.
The first Tudor Vampire Chronicles is a wonderful historical romantic fantasy. The mystery and the history take a back seat to the paranormal and the romance so that the background to a vampiric King Henry VIII castle never fully comes to fruition. Still this is an exciting early fifteenth century star-crossed lovers' thriller as the immovable vampire hunter meets the irresistible Druid slayer.
