From the 1st page, I was hooked and I wanted to do nothing except READ THIS BOOK! I couldn't turn those pages fast enough and talk about suspense, I couldn't wait to get to the end so I could find out, once and for all, who Casanova was! The first book I've ever read that I seriously considered 'cheating' and going to the end to find out who the killer was! A fantastic book for any suspense/mystery fans and also fantastic for anyone wanting something different to read. Buy the book and enjoy!

I had friends who kept telling me to read this book, that it was so wonderful and I would love it. I'm not big on reading books just because someone tells me they are good, but so many people recomended it that I just had to check it out for myself. So I did....and it was THE worst book I have ever read. I don't like giving bad reviews like this, I'm very open minded when it comes to books. But this book was just so bad that I can't help it. It was the first James Patterson book I've read...I will never read another book by this author again. The first impression was nothing close to good. It started out dull, was dull through the middle, and ended......DULL. It does nothing to catch you interest and although it does have some high points that make it ALMOST interesting, they always turned out to be obvious, boring, and once again....DULL. This was the only book that I had to FORCE myself to read. I thought, 'Hey, maybe it will get better. Just maybe. The very last page could have something at least remotely interesting that could change how I view this book.' But it didn't. It ended terribly. One of those endings that 'keeps you guessing.' Oooooh. Ahhhh. Completeyly predictable. Awful book. The worst I've read. I DO NOT recomend it. Don't waste your time.

    Great read poor product

My second book read in the cross series. A real page turner. The problem is that the publisher and barnes and noble are content to sell product with missing pages, typos and bizarre symbols where there should be punctuation marks. If I boight a bound book with missing pages I would return it. No such remedy here. Shame on them for selling defective goods.

    more from this reviewer

    Enough to make you paranoid.

I've actually read a lot of Patterson's stuff, and while I find his usually find his material to be a little on the lighter side of the genre, this one always makes me double check the door locks.

    unsurprising

I've read Along Came a Spider by James Patterson and no doubt I agree that he is one of the best authors in this kind of genre. But when I tried reading this 2nd book of his Alex Cross novels, I was quite disappointed. Yes the plot is intriguing but it's as if the selling point here are only those gory sexual details. This book didn't gave justice to Alex Cross, how could he be a so brilliant detective when all that happens are coincidental, pure luck. Alex Cross should shine on how his mind works yet he doesn't even able to divulge any important detail except being close to it.

    Couldn't leave my chair

My second Alex Cross book and definitely not my last. 'Kiss the Girls' is a story of twinning murderers on oppostie coasts and their wacky and sometimes grotesque ways of toturing their victims. This Patterson novel was riveting and thrilling, but I found the book a little difficult to follow in the beginning, I kept confusing the two murderers! The characters were great, a little too perfect, but it definitely didn't end the way I'd hoped (you'll have to read it to find out!).
