    Very Cliche

I read the first book in the series, and was a little disapointed. It wasn't as bad as some other vampire books, though, so I decided to give the second book a try. I was completley disapointed in this installment. It bought into every vampire cliche known to man. Some of them were mentioned in the first book, but I overlooked them because it wasn't badly written for someone's first vampire story. This was too much though! I had to force myself to read the first few chapters, but never ended up finishing it. I am sure the plot thickens in the middle of the book, but I simply did not have the patience to deal with all the silly vampire myths that were thrown into the story. Another thing that irked me was the excessive use of exclamation points in this book. It seem like every other sentence ended with one, and made me feel like I was reading a story for a child. Overall, both this book and the first installment in the series, are disapointing and should only be read by people who believe the crazy things they say about vampires. I don't really think this is a matter of age, though. I am in seventh grade, the age group at which this series is aimed at, and I obviously don't like this book. I think the author should stick to books that are about humans, and stop exploring the world of vampires, which she obviously knows little about.
