    knitted art

Estonian lace is a lovely art form. The text covers the history of estonian lace work as well as providing detailed instructions for the expert knitter. Clear & easy to understand patterns plus instructions for original designs.

    Wonderful for lace knitters!!!

This is a very informative, beautiful pattern book that will help you develop your own patterns in the Estonian style if you want. It also gives several beautiful patterns that you can follow as well! Enjoy and be prepared for compliments when wearing your creations.

    Beautiful but..

This book has some stunning lace objects which are quite inspirational. Aparently the Estonians are exceptionally fond of the "lilly of the valley" type motif, which seems a bit too frequent in this book.

The charts are easy to follow and the one pattern I have done so far is quite comfortable.

Going beyond the sweater and sock

If you are ready to try something new and exciting beyond the sweater or sock you should really try lace knitting. Not only are the patterns in this book beautiful but I was able to incorporate into other types of garments other then shawls.

For inspired knitters who want to take on a challenge!

Lace knitting has always intrigued me to the point that I bought this book. But inside, there is a history behind Estonian lace knitting and all the patterns are beautiful. Though I haven't tried a pattern yet, I have bought the required yarn to do a shawl from the book.
