    Great Knitting Resource!

I really like Stephanie Pearl-McPhee's style of writing - it's like you're sitting down with your best friend and chatting about knitting. She does a great job of mixing technique with humor and personal experience. This is the 2nd of her books that I've read, and she's very inspiring - I feel like "I can do this!" She is obviously very knowledgeable about knitting, and it's very reassuring to read that she's frogged projects over and over and over until she's gotten something right.

    I laughed so hard I hurt!`

I've not laughed this hard in a long time. Not even the likes of Jeff Foxworthy or Bill Cosby could be as funny as this lady. The bad part is I can relate to every word.... I bought the book to help me develop my knitting skills, and wound up being fully entertained. I recomend this title to any knitter, new or seasoned, that would enjoy learning a little and having a hardy laugh. WARNING: This will make you laugh so hard you need to use the restroom, so I dont advise taking it on a long car trip!

    Fantastic!

Stephanie Pearl-McPhee has an enormous passion for knitting that shows on every page. The tips and tricks are some of the best advice a knitter can ever receive. This book definitely needs to be a part of any knitter's library.

    loved it!

This was such a good book. It was hilarious and you can relate so much to what Mcphee was saying about how she buys tons of yarns and alot more. She gives great tips, and sheds some light on knittin' stuff. She also includes a few patterns, so it's really a great book!!

    A super book!

Ms. Pearl-McPhee's book is super! When I read her books I know that I'm not alone and love to die laughing at my knitting errors, shopping, showing off, etc. If I'm not knitting I am reading Stephanie Pearl-McPhee books -- especially if I've been frogging (to undo) a knitting pattern three times!! I'll read any of her books to people at work, home, on the phone -- any where. I found her books at the library. I read one and from then on I have bought all of Ms. Pearl-McPhee books. These books will be read over and over! Thank You Ms. Yarn Harlot and keep on going!!

    Another great book by McPhee

Thank you, another excellent book by McPhee. More of a tutorial and information based as compared to 'yarn harlot.' A good read.

Excellent staart Excellent start to becoming a sockaholic!

This is by far the clearest set of instructions on knitting socks I have ever found. It stays in a knitting bag at all times. The authors knowledge and fun sense of humor has made it one of my "go to books".

    Entertaining Yarn Harlot style

I love the way Stephanie Pear-McPhee makes all the items in the book inviting and easy. Made me want to jump up and fetch the knitting needles and get started. Witty and very well written.
