Love this book!  It breaks down the resume writing process into doable steps that anyone can follow.  Knock 'em Dead  Résumés doesn't just tell you what to do, it tells you why each step is relevant in today's tough job market.   I've read other résumé books that were too textbook-like for my taste.  Yates straightforward, tell it like it is writing style makes for easy and even enjoyable reading.  Can't wait to put into practice all that I've learned!

    I didn't like it

This book didn't help me very much at all. I bought it because of the title but it was a bad idea. If it weren't a nook book, I would return it and get something else.

The sample resumes provided are not diverse at all. There are way to many examples of people in the same professions (nurses, IT, etc.) and not enough for other professions. I don't feel like the author really explained how to effectively write a killer resume...instead he asked a bunch of questions to get you thinking, which was okay but didn't offer any answers to those questions or examples of what the answers might be and how to incorporate the answers as well constructed sentences that would make a great summary or accomplishment.

This didn't help me at all.
