Knowledge is Power retell by Jasmit

Abby Hayes is a 9 year old entering middle school. She has twin sisters and a brother. She lives with both parent and is quite happy with her life. Just one more week to wait and she`ll be in middle school. Being a sixth grader means being all grown up to Abby Hayes. She¿s quite excited and a little scared about the big day ahead of her. Her twin sisters say that she`ll has nothing to worry about, but Abby still scared. Her sisters take her shopping to buy clothing to wear on the first day of middle school. Abby buys skirts, bracelets, tops, pants, sandals and lots of jewellery because she really wanted to look good on her big day. She wanted to get her ears pierced but like all families, her family has family rules and one is that nobody in their family can get their ears pierced until their 13, an official teenager. Too bad for her, she¿s got 4 long years to wait. Abby get clip on earrings because she thinks no one will know the difference. A day before she starts school she finds a book in the garbage bin, in her house. She takes it out and reads the title, ¿sixth grade revealed¿, she opens the book and starts to read. The first page was about some bad things that can happen in grade six, some things like getting beaten up, getting bullied, getting pushed around and getting left out like a loner. There were more things to but Abby didn`t bother reading the rest because she was too scared that she would get extra scared. She didn`t tell her sisters because she knew that they didn`t write it. Abby wondered how the book got there but she had no clues. On the big day she was ready at 8:00, she also wore her clip on earrings and new clothing that she had bought. Abby then waited for her friends to show up because they always walk to school together. Soon her friends showed up and they walked to their school. While at school, she had some ups and downs, rights and wrongs but hey, who doesn¿t. In History class Abby fell because she was rushing to class, the whole class laughed at her. A popular girl volunteered to take her to the office because she wanted to get out of class. While the two girls where going to the office the popular girl notice that one of Abby earrings fell off and told Abby. Abby felt embarrassed because she told everyone they were real. After some days of people calling her one ear loop, she finally got real earrings without telling her family. Unfortunately she tells her family because she felt guilty. At the end of the book Abby noticed things and people changed and she did too.

    best book ever!

This book is realistic fiction, has 97 pages in it and every page is exciting and something new. It is about a girl named Abby Hayes who is starting sixth grade. But there is a catch. Over the summer, her and her friend Hannah were going through Abby's sister Alex¿s box and while looking they found a journal that said ¿Sixth Grade Revealed.¿ She took the journal not knowing that none of the facts were true. She follows the facts and gets the wrong idea of sixth grade. I think this book is appropriate for all ages, only if your interested in realistic fiction. Or you don't have to be interested in realistic fiction, you could just want to try something new. If so, this book is the best one along with all the other Anne Mazer books. The Amazing days Of Abby Hayes Goes to Six Grade is #2 in the Abby Hayes series. They are all very exciting to read. All of Anne Mazer¿s Abby Hayes books are good, but this one, I have to say, is the best one. In the other ones, Abby just has problems with Brianna and Victoria, but in this one she actually finds something of her sister that she wasn't supposed to find. So if you want to find out more then go to a local library or ask somebody if they have it so you can borrow it. Count on my word, this book is the best.

    Yay, Abby

This was a great book and I can't wait to read the next ones. It's been like four summers before Abby moved up to sixth grade. I do miss Jessica though, she was one of my favorite characters.
