Highly Recommended ... check it out.
The third book in the Ballpark Mysteries Series by David A. Kelly titled, The L.A. Dodger, is a fun read for kids in the 6-9 age range whether reading on their own, with a parent or in the classroom. The writing is clear and well done and the who-done-it has some fresh twists. Parents reading to their kids may not admit it, but the book is full of curiosities, especially in the 'Dugout Notes', that will teach them things they didn't know. Teachers as well will love the numerous uses for classroom whole language curriculum. It is a high interest subject teaching the benefits of doing good deeds and cooperation which produces positive returns. The format compares for the young reader a fictional mystery and then a set of non-fictional fascinating facts. Sports fans and others of all ages will love Mr. Kelly's tale. Was this review helpful?
