Inviting read and realistic characters
I’m not sure what it was about this book, but it seemed more real compared to the other Windham girls, to date. Maybe it had something to do with the male lead not being traditional. He wasn’t described as handsome, he was flawed in several ways, but that led to him feeling so much more real. Louisa also wasn’t a fancy heroine. She wasn’t adventurous, though she was outspoken. She wasn’t the most breathtakingly beautiful of the girls, but she was approachable. She was insecure in a way that I could easily relate to. The plot and conflict were not over the top, but more realistic. The whole story was not a gripping page-turner, but rather felt like I was peaking at what a real relationship might have started out as and unfolded to be. I liked it. It wasn’t strong and passion-filled, but warm and inviting. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
