    I Also Recommend:

Will grab you and not let go!

I picked this up on a whim, knowing nothing about the Chinese student movement in 1989. It is an amazing book--a page turner. I rapidly grew to know and care about these people, and learn about this huge event through personal eyes. She is a wonderful writer, very lyrical, and as an American who has never been to China, she described it so vividly that she made me want to go visit! I recommend this to anyone and everyone. You might cry, but you will never forget this book.
