Moore is my favorite author. I must be a sick puppy.

Having read "Fluke" and "Lust Lizard," I was already a big Chris Moore fan. But as a Christian, I fully expected to be offended by this book. Didn't happen. Sure, there's some strange stuff here -- wouldn't be Moore if it wasn't . But in the end, he pretty much gets it right! I found myself at times wiping away the tears of laughter and thinking, "Ya know, it coulda happened just like that." Maybe. I teach Sunday School and Bible studies, and I believe every Christian with a sense of humor should read this book! Those of you who don't have a sense of humor should probably skip it.

A Must-have Read for Those with True Senses of Humor

This is one of my absolute favorite books. It is hilariously funny, respectful, and somewhat philosophical. Religiously, if you are ultra-conservative about your beliefs, this will not be your cup of tea. If you can see the absurdity in certain aspects of life, and have an open mind, you will love this book without a doubt!

    Hilarious!

This is one of the best fictitious recountings of Jesus' early life. Lamb does an excellent job displaying the mystery of divinity and humanity. This is also one of the funniest novels I've ever read and re-read.

    Amazing!

    Warm and full of laughs.

This is the first Christopher Moore book I have read and I will not hesitate to recommend it. As a matter of fact, I'm off to find another book by this author.

    Fantastic

Not enough time to describe the joy received from this. The feint of faith need not apply.

    nmetcalf63,

I loved this book, up to the last week when things got real, biblicly speaking, and the sad part started. If your openminded enough to remember this is a work of humor and fiction, then you'll enjoy it for what it is. If your all seriously holy rightous and easily offended, you pobably shouldn't. I couldn't put it down.
Mr. Moore explains it right up front, so I would recomend, try the sample first, or borrow it.
He's a wonderful author, expensive, but I'm happy I invested. I'd love to borrow other work of his, if anyone has some to lend, please friend me.
    Thanks, Mr. Moore.

    Ha! Another Moore classic!

I think even Jesus would get a chuckle out of this one!

Highly recommended to the open minded!

What a fun and fantastic book, regardless of your religion/beliefs! A "what-if" view of the life of Jesus through the eyes of his best buddy, sarcastic sinner and ladies man, Biff. While there are obviously some historical inaccuracies (recognized by the author), it gives great visuals to age-old questions we have all undoubtedly had at one point or another.

Christopher Moore's style of writing is very casual, yet compelling. I will be reading more of his work.

    Lmfao

This is one of my favorite books. Its laugh out loud funny, thoughtful, and twisted. Anyone who knows even the barest amount of the bible will enjoy this, whether they be christian or atheist, assuming they can laugh at themselves.

    very funny

I've read all of Christopher Moore's books, and I like them all, but Lamb is one I read over and over. To some it will be irreverent, but I think it is very funny, and probably very plausible too. Thanks Christopher Moore.

    Garbage!

Way to far off the wall for me, I didn't even finish reading it!
After reading the sample, I assumed it would be humorous, but was very disappointed. Sorry I wasted my money,

    Highly Recommended-Hilarious

Basically, if you don't take the book seriously and read it for what it is you will enjoy it. I am a Christian, and I enjoyed it. It really doesn't poke fun at religion per se, but its interesting and fun to read. Check it out!
