About 'The Land of Little Rain'
An amazing book that provides the reader with a honest description of the American West. The book is important because it goes against the view that most people had of the West as a land of milk and honey, as a place that was empty and ready to be settle. The book is also important because it gives a view of the West from a woman's point of view. The fact that this book was not a success when it first was published is an example of how the voice of women was ignored in those days by those who were not willing to accept the facts about a place that had become dominated by men. A outstanding book about the American West.
