my review of Land with no Sun

the stackpole books are generally well written and researched, and are easy reads if they are in your area of interest. Land with no Sun is a very informative and personal book about an era of warfare from the author's personal perspective. the author takes his readers into this foreign world within the context of a lengthy enlisted military career. There are a number of anectdotes and individual stories which comprise much of the chapters which are quite interesting. The timeline is hard to follow in that the author will tell one story about an individual and then follow with another story which relates to the previous one but may jump back in time or reference going forward. Also the book would benefit by the addition of some geographical and topographical maps to help explain the location and variation of the terrain to which he refers. all that said i liked reading the book and could recommend it to someone having an interest in this time of history.
