    Informative read

Recently got my first laptop with the new Windows 7 operating system, I decided to purchase this book. It's an easy read and taught me a few things I didn't already know on how to use my laptop from back-ups to operating systems, to storing files and so much more. Granted there were many things I already knew but the things I learned simply made what I knew already come together nicely. The book is humorous and a good reference point when I need it. I even sent an email to the arthor and he responded to my questions. being a PC owner primarily, this helped me think of other things I need to consider with this device.

This was a gift for a friend

My friend found the book very useful as he gave-up his 8-year old PC for a new state-of-the-art laptop!

    A great Guide

I bought this because I am so technically inept. I'm finding it a great reference guide as I try to set up my netbook and weave my way through the wireless world. I like the way it's actually written for dummies, because I can understand it. It's easy to find information in the guide, so you can go directly to the subject you have a question about. I'd recommend it for anyone just getting started in the field, and as a good review for people who may know exactly what they're doing.

    Its OK?!?

I thought this would give me a little more knowledge than I have instead it was just a rehash of what I already know.
I feel I wasted my money

    Laptops for Dummies

The material was much too complicated to be included in a
book for dummies. It required more than the usual amount of
computer knowledge to understand. Some items that I wish had
been covered were not touched on at all and other items were
    handled fairly well.

    Excellent for me

I needed a resource for determining whether I really needed a laptop and what would be involved in installing it. It answered my questions very well. I do not need a laptop!
