    This book is Fabulous !person

This book is fabulous! I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in cooking, no matter what your skills. Glitter to Gourmet includes both simple and sophisticated recipes with clear instructions that make them easy to do at home. The Peppered Filet Mignon on page 99 is the best I have ever had. Try this one first and you with definitely use this cookbook for many more delicious meals.

    Fabulous and stunning

I bought this book on a recent trip to Las Vegas and couldn't wait to get home to try these recipes. The book is visually stunning and the recipes are savory, straightforward to prepare, and delicious. The interspersion of facts about Las Vegas were interesting and added to the uniqueness of this book. My husband and I especially liked the spinach hors d'oeuvre with mustard sauce and the melted brie with winter fruits. Both were simple to prepare with just that little extra touch to make them special. We made the peach barbeque sauce and served it over pork tenderloin and it was super. The spicy garlic chicken pizza disappeared quickly. Don't miss this book!!!

    A 'Sure Thing' in Vegas!

If there's one 'sure thing' in Vegas, its the Las Vegas Glitter to Gormet Cookbook. I have tried several recipies and am I delighted with the results. The Spanish Rice was a big hit at dinner recently. I have been looking for a recipe like that for years. The Rum Cream Pie and the Double-Chocolate Chip Cookies are 'to die for'. I haven't tried Bill Banyo's Runnin' Rebel Chicken yet but the recipe looks great! The book is eye-pleasing, well-organized and easy to follow. I've never seen a cookbook quite like it! Thanks to the Junior League for creating this cookbook.

    Entertaining the Las Vegas Way!

This exciting cookbook was selected as the 'Staff Recommendation' for the Las Vegas Barnes and Noble Stores for December 2000. The book features recipes from local celebrities: Davie Cassidy, Susan Anton, Phyllis McGuire, Mayor Oscar Goodman and others; and from Las Vegas Hotel Chefs: Wolfgang Puck (Spago), James Perrillo (Caesar Palace), Jean-Louis Palladin (Rio Hotel), Stanton Ho (Las Vegas Hilton) and others. In addition to the recipes, information about Las Vegas, the community, sample menus, celebrity bios and much more are found in the colorful sidebars. The bright and vibrant colors found on the cover draw you instantly to this book!

    Excellent Choice for all events

This is a great collection of recipes. I was fortunate to receive one during the Christmas season, and I have used it several times already. This will be indespensible for those of you planning dinner parties, get togethers or just trying to cook something different and delicious. A must buy if you love to cook.

Great for your own collection or to give as a gift!

I received this cookbook as a gift. It didn't get stuck on the shelf; I spent several evenings looking through it. The layout and use of color and photos as well as the periodic commentary makes it great for pleasure reading. But it's a wonderful cookbook, too. I have tried several recipes already, and every one has been a success. Many are simple enough for family meals as well as savory and elegant enough for entertaining. I will be using this cookbook regularly.

If You Like Cookbooks, You'll Love This One!

I knew that Glitter To Gourmet would be a great cookbook because of my well-used copy of the Las Vegas Junior League cookbook from 15 years ago, Winning At The Table. This new book is even more visually stunning and the recipes are, like the old book, well written and easy to prepare. I've tried several already that have been big hits with family and guests, especially Salt Encrusted Beef Tenderloin, Carrots with Pecans, Smoked Salmon Linguini, Very Berry Crisp, Garlic Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes, and Mandarin Orange and Almond Salad. This book would be a perfect gift for anyone who likes to cook or just read cookbooks.
