I really love this book. I felt a lot of it dragged on in details but once it got to certain areas you were really impacted with the characters emotions. It's like everything they felt were really intensified and well defined. I like a lot of the messages this book contained, about how things change and grow while others remain the same. It really makes you question things. Overall the book was one I will never forget and one I think everyone {mostly} should read.

I think the main reason why people dont enjoy this book is due to the fact that we have all read SisterHood of the Traveling Pants. The Last Summer of you and Me have nothing to deal with the pants...and for the first few page i cant help but think back about her previous novels...however as i get into the middle of it, my mind eased down and i started thinking more about the story itself...The Last Summer of You and Me is sweet and touching, at certain times I could even find myself crying for the characters...i wouldnt say that its a read for everyone...but it is a good book...not great but it was a mellow read

Give an extra star if you frequent Fire Island

I did read the whole book, I did want to know what happened...but, that said, this book was just a soft spoken reminder of how it feels to summer at FI.

    Just Awful

I was so very excited for the release of this book as I have read and re-read the Sisterhood books and recommend them to anyone aged 12 and up. This book was extremely boring... so boring I couldn't even finish it. It was nothing as though I expected and I ended up never finishing it. I sadly would not recommend this book, and I am a lover of all books...

    Very disappointing........and I'm afraid....boring!

I was so looking forward to reading this book, as both my daughters loved the sisterhood books, but I'm afraid I was so disappointed. The beginning was very slow, and difficult to follow who was talking. The storyline wasn't really anything new and by the middle of the book I had guessed what was going to happen! I felt Ann Brashares was still writing for older teens. Read Islands by Ann Rivers Siddons if you want a good beach house book.

You, Maybe, But Not Me Might Enjoy This Book

This book was just dreadful. Meandering writing and boring, boring, boring. I wanted to shake all 3 main characters out of their lethargy. One of the reviews said to 'get your hanky out' - I did but only to mourn over the fact that I wasted time reading this book. The reviewers who gave this drivel 3 or more stars must have very unsophisticated reading taste.

    For adults - barely.

First book that I read by this author, and was disappointed. Too much like a teen romance novel.

    Oh no!

I read this book so fast (only because I wanted to get it OVER WITH). The story was drawn-out and boring. It was the 'Little train that couldn't...' The characters are childish and impossible to connect with. How frustrating this 'novel' was. I had hopes...but not even the end justify the beginning (for me). I love Ann Brashares, I am flabbergasted.
