Lovely

I got the book for my older son because his younger brother is having problems communicating. He enjoys going over the book over and over then showing me the sign he has learned. He is getting very good and not having any trouble at all.

Sample not so good!

I was hoping for a better sneak peak with this book instead ofjust the Introduction. Sample is an inconvenience....The whole point of the nook is to be able to shop virtually and now I am going to have to go to barnes and noble and check out the book to see if I like it...

    GREAT BOOK

This book is great for both adults and children; it is well worth the cost. All signs are shown with a picture and a written description of how to perform the sign. The alphabet is the first thing you learn, followed by common signs. At the end of each chapter, there are sample sentences for you to practice with. There is also a great section in the back with deaf games, ones that small groups (even children!) can play with both deaf children or just people who are learning sign. This is a great book, I would highly recommend it.

    Easy signing

I have found this book easy to understand. I do not have a lot of time to 'read' books on sign language. I have two children, my youngest has downs syndrome. The illustrations are easy to understand, as well as the explanations below the illustrations. The basics of the sign language that I need to use are within the book. My oldest child and I have fun practicing and using the signs for everyday actions. I know that, in time, my youngest will enjoy the basic signs as well. I have recommended this book to the speech therapist and teacher that come to our home for therapy for my youngest son. It is a good book for teachers because of the games that are included. The games are fun and easy to understand as well. All in all, the headline for my review is correct when I state that this book is 'easy signing.'

    For Beginners

I read this book on a road trip.I recommend this book for those that are beginners and want to learn the basics. You first learn the alphabet, numbers, and then people, colors, etc. It doesn't go in depth on how to have a conversation but it teaches you the basics. I recommend taking an ASL class and purchasing a dictionary and classroom text book. This book was fun and useful for my kids and I to sign basic things such as food, and our name. Overall it is a good book because it does teach you to sign in a fun way.

    Question!!!

All of these reviews are talking about the book on the nook, right? I just don't wanna pay 11 dollars on a book and I cant tell what the signs are.
