It is really helping me with conversational Spanish

I have tried several Spanish courses for home study. I am finding this one to be the most helpful. At least when it comes to learning conversational Spanish. I also like the fact that Learning Spanish Like Crazy has a teaching style that enforces proper pronunciation. It has really helped to correct my accent to the point where Spanish speakers always ask me how did I learn Spanish so well.

I'm 64 and decided 3 - 4 years ago that I wanted to learn Spanis

I'm 64 and decided 3 - 4 years ago that I wanted to learn Spanish.  The Learning Like Crazy lessons are great and help tremendously.  Now understand, I don't think there is any "magic" in learning a new language, especially for an older person.  You aren't going to learn a language in 10 minutes a day without effort, it isn't that simple.  But taking a multi-faceted approach can make it easier.  I use books, software, the LSLC programs and other materials and recently took a test and received 8 hours of college credit for my efforts.  You can listen to the LSLC material while driving.  It helps to reinforce other materials that you may have learned through textbooks or online.  You use different parts of your brain to read, write, listen to, and speak a language.  I find that listening to and repeating the lessons in the LSLC material helps me in the listening comprehension and speaking areas.  I've also found that if I don't understand a concept in one area sometimes studying by a different resource it helps to understand concepts fuller.  This isn't a overnight project, but can be immensely satisfying once you achieve some degree of fluency.  Finally, I've found that the support with the LSLC products to be outstanding.
