Some Good Information...
I am well-read regarding Alzheimer's and I have personal experience with family members. This is not the first book I would suggest, but it had some good information about what can happen with those with dementia and how to adapt their environment to help improve their daily lives. I liked the approach of accepting the person for who they are now and finding ways to interact with them in a positive way. I didn't like some things about the book - I can't say exactly what, but I think it was a little too stringent, maybe judgmental (there is more than one way to skin a cat). I have learned that everyone is not capable of dealing with all aspects of this disease and being too firm in one's approach can push people away from being involved.
