Easy to read mystery, not much violence, or profanity

Although I enjoyed this book, (and have already purchased another in the series), there were times when it seemed to be bogged down with a lot of unnecesary detail. However, the characters are well drawn and I wanted to get to know them better.
I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that I was pretty sure I knew who the murderer was about 3/4 of the way into the book, and it turns out that I was right. The motive for the murder seemed trivial to me as well.
I found it interesting that the author is American, but writes about England. The setting seemed quite authentic to me despite this, (although I have to confess that everything I know about England, I learned from a book.)

    Wonderful British mystery

Interesting characters, vivid atmosphere and intriguing plot make this an excellent novel. Highly recommend.

I am a fan of the entire series. Thank you Deborah Crombie for creating an interesting mystery series with characters that spring to life.

    Don't miss it.

Read #1 and #2 in the series and had to keep on, though you don't need to have read the first 2 to enjoy #3.
